Learn About Local History on a Historic Home Tour
Beaumont is home to three historic homes. The Chambers House Museum, John Jay French Museum, and the McFaddin-Ward House Museum all give an idea of what living in Beaumont was like. The Chambers House and McFaddin-Ward House Museum showcase the early 1900s of a middle-class family and a wealthy family, respectively. The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) and Dishman Art Museum are home to amazing collections and works of art. The AMSET focuses on fine and folk arts of the 19th-21st century with rotating exhibits every three months. The Dishman Art Museum is located at Lamar University and is a showplace that contributes significantly to the cultural opportunities of the region.
