We’ve all been there. A night of partying with the girls, throwing back one too many shots, and waking up the next morning feeling like death.

We’ve got your back (as always) with a round-up of hangover cures and natural remedies that’ll have you feeling like yourself again.

We’re talking supplements, wellness practices, and more. These surprising tricks can help you get quick relief from dreaded hangover symptoms and reduce recovery time.

Hangover city, population: all of us. But what exactly is a hangover, besides the ultimate buzzkill?

11 Hangover Hacks

When we start drinking alcohol, our body processes it and breaks it down into acetaldehyde, a toxic byproduct that wreaks havoc on our system.

This lovely little compound messes with our blood sugar levels causes dehydration and throws off our entire equilibrium.

No wonder we’re left feeling like hot piles of absolute pure garbage.

Hangover symptoms can range from pounding headaches to nausea, fatigue, and even a bout of the grumpies. And let’s not forget how it affects our productivity, mood, and overall well-being.

Not cute.

So, grab a cute water bottle, and let’s dive into the ultimate guide to saying “see ya” to hangovers.

♡ Quinton Minerals

Quinton Minerals are little vials of goodness packed with essential… minerals (duh). They can help replenish fluids and restore balance to our bodies after an indulgent night.

Lauryn and Michael chat with international water scientist Robert Slovak about these minerals in an episode of the HIM & HER Show, too. They’re super simple–just pop one open, and drink it down.

Healthy, Easy Ways To Boost Your Energy

♡ Hydrating Alcoholic Drinks

We all know that alcohol can leave us feeling seriously dehydrated. Luckily, there’s a simple solution–hydrating alcoholic drinks.

These bevies are specifically designed to keep you hydrated and drunk simultaneously.

So, order drinks like ranch water, add sparkling water and ice to your rosé, Champagne or white wine, and avoid sugary mixes.

♡ Electrolytes

Electrolytes are absolute game-changers when it comes to fighting hangovers.

After a night of heavy drinking, our body’s electrolyte levels can be seriously imbalanced. BUT, all you need is a coconut water, or special packets to get the job done. Lauryn likes amino acidsKroma, LMNT, or just Celtic sea salt in warm lemon water. For extra debloating power we recommend some Le Depuff drops too.

♡ Cold/Hot therapy

On a hangover day it might be the toughest, but most rewarding thing to do. Get yourself in an ice bath or at the very least a cold shower. Safe to say it’ll take the focus off your hangover and leave you feeling super revitalized.

And if that hangxiety kicks in, be sure to get in a warm epsom salt bath to help you get to sleep.

♡ Glutathione

If you haven’t heard of glutathione before, it’s time to take notes.

This powerful antioxidant is known for its detoxifying properties, making it a go-to for hangover relief.

You can find glutathione in supplement form here (use code SKINNY). There’s also glutathione in certain food sources like broccoli and spinach.

♡ Spring Water

Yes… okay, it sounds simple as hell, but drinking regular-ass spring water (and lots of it) is one of the most effective ways to combat a hangover.

Staying hydrated helps your body flush out toxins, replenish fluids, and ease those pounding headaches. It also might help to keep a glass by your side throughout the night and into the morning. Lauryn loves Mountain Valley in a glass bottle.

♡ High Protein Meals

After a wild night out, our bodies NEED some serious nourishment in the form of high-protein meals.

Protein is essential for repairing and rejuvenating our bodies, and it can help kick the hangover blues to the curb. Try 3 poached eggs with half an avocado. And if you can’t stomach anything try making a smoothie with your favorite protein powder, spinach and a ton of frozen berries.

♡ Exercise

We know… the last thing you want to be doing when nursing a hangover is stepping on a treadmill. But trust us, a little exercise can work wonders.

Getting your blood pumping and sweating out the toxins can help alleviate hangover symptoms and give you a much-needed energy boost.

Even something as simple as a short walk or some light stretching will at least start to do the trick.

♡ Charcoal

This might sound a bit unconventional but bear with us because charcoal can actually be a hangover hero. Detoxification and activated charcoal are synonymous. Because the charcoal absorbs toxins and helps flush them out of your system.

You can find charcoal pills or powders at health stores like Cymbiotika. And, all you have to do is mix them with water and drink up.

♡ Liquid Hydration

Last but certainly not least, one of the best ways to tackle a hangover is through liquid hydration IVs.

With hydration therapy, you’ll get a turbo boost for your recovery. It’s like a direct shot of all things that are great for curing a hangover.

These IV drips deliver fluids, electrolytes, and vitamins straight into your bloodstream, giving your body the ultimate hangover-fighting nutrients.

Remember, when it comes to surviving post-party blues, THE GOLDEN RULE is to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

Slamming back a lot of water while you’re drinking helps keep your hangovers at bay, but if that doesn’t work… hopefully the hacks we’ve covered will.

Cheers to a good time without the morning-after nightmare.
