2023 Hyundai Venue value and specs

The Hyundai Venue received a series of tweaks for 2023, including more standard equipment.

UPDATE, 06/05/2023 – We’ve updated this article with the latest prices.

Prices were increased by between $140 and $310 across all bar the top-spec Elite, which climbed by $960.

From June 1, prices are increasing once again: by $100 on the base model, and by $250 on the rest of the range.

“Effective 1 April and 1 June 2023, HMCA regrettably will be applying a MLP increase that impacts a range of Hyundai models,” said a company spokesperson.

“This increase has been driven by exchange rate pressures and rising logistics costs.”

If customers have an existing order and take delivery after June 1, they’ll need to pay the higher price as Hyundai Australia isn’t price-protecting.

The updated Venue hasn’t received the Palisade/Tucson-style grille added in India, with the only exterior design tweak being the substitution of its shark fin aerial for a pole-type unit.

Base, Active and Elite trim levels were carried over for 2023 but the Active manual has been axed, leaving only the base grade with the option of three pedals.

All models now have a Qi wireless phone charger as standard, as well as a 4.2-inch colour instrument cluster screen and a rear occupant alert.

The latter doesn’t use a cabin radar like some more expensive Hyundai products, instead just detecting when a rear door has been opened and prompting the driver to check the back seats before exiting the vehicle.

The steering wheel has Hyundai’s latest switchgear layout, with a customisable star button allowing you to program a preferred shortcut.

A USB-A outlet continues to be used for smartphone mirroring, but it’s joined by a USB-C outlet.

The Elite gains two USB-C charge outlets in the rear next to a small storage compartment for mobile phones, and an electro-chromatic rear-view mirror up front.

The Venue Elite also becomes the latest Hyundai to receive Bluelink connectivity, which comes with a complimentary five-year subscription.

This includes automatic collision notification, voice recognition, cloud-based navigation and weather information, and the ability to sync Google or iCloud calendars with the vehicle.

You can also use the Bluelink app to remotely lock, unlock or start your vehicle and adjust the climate settings, view the remaining fuel level and the vehicle’s location, and continue your navigation journey.

Among the other features offered as part of Bluelink is a Valet Mode, where you can monitor the vehicle’s status and disable infotainment system functions while somebody else is driving your vehicle.
