Nissan hasn’t made any changes to its Patrol for 2023, though later in the year it will bolster its full-sized SUV range with a more rugged Warrior variant.
The Warrior will only be available in Australia and is part of a partnership between Nissan Australia and local firm Premcar.
Development started in September last year and is expected to last 12 months according to Nissan Australia’s managing director Adam Paterson.
The Warrior will be locally tuned and receive wheel, tyre, and suspension upgrades but the 298kW/560Nm 5.6-litre V8 engine will remain the same.
Mr Paterson told CarExpert in February that customers looking to purchase a 2023 Patrol are waiting on average three to six months.
Pricing remains the same for the Patrol for 2023. The range opens with the Ti at $82,160 before on-road costs, with the flagship Ti-L priced at $95,115 before on-road costs.
Nissan offer customers six capped-priced services, however the pricing has increased since last year by between $59 to $125 per service.
The current Y62 generation arrived in 2014 and had a major refresh in 2020 which saw a fresh new look, more safety technology and revised suspension tuning.
But the right-hand drive model continues to miss out on an updated interior introduced on the left-hand drive Patrol/Armada, which includes a 12.3-inch tablet-style infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Nissan Australia says there are no plans to give the local model the updated interior, which persists with a smaller 8.0-inch screen and no smartphone mirroring.
The carmaker sold 5724 examples of its Patrol in Australia last year, though again it was outsold by the Toyota Landcruiser wagon range, of which 13,152 units were delivered over the year.

The 2023 Nissan Patrol uses a naturally aspirated 5.6-litre V8 engine producing 298kW of power and 560Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.
All Patrol models are four-wheel drive.

The 2023 Nissan Patrol uses 14.4L/100km on the combined cycle and requires 95 RON premium unleaded fuel.
It has a 140L fuel tank.
Dimensions
The 2023 Nissan Patrol measures 5175mm long and 1995mm wide, with a 3075mm wheelbase. The Ti is 1940mm tall while the Ti-L is 1955mm tall.
Its maximum braked towing capacity is 3500kg while unbraked towing capacity is 750kg, with a maximum towball download of 350kg.
Ground clearance is 273mm, while its departure angle is 26.3 degrees and its approach angle is 34.4 degrees in the Ti and 28.0 degrees in the Ti-L.
Servicing and Warranty
The 2023 Nissan Patrol is covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
In 2022, Nissan extended the servicing intervals for the Patrol from six months or 10,000km, whichever comes first, to 12 months or 10,000km.
Nissan offers a capped-price servicing program, and the first six services are capped at $452 (+$59), $581 (+$79), $559 (+$76), $916 (+$125), $509 (+$84), and $741.

The current generation Nissan Patrol doesn’t have an ANCAP safety rating.
