2023 Toyota Corolla Cross vs. Toyota RAV4: How They Evaluate

Both the Corolla Cross and RAV4 come reasonably well equipped in their base forms, as the two SUVs include niceties such as a digital instrument cluster display and a touchscreen infotainment system. Befitting its larger footprint, the RAV4 comes standard with a bigger 7.0-inch cluster screen. The Corolla Cross makes do with a 4.2-inch display. Both models come standard with an 8.0-inch infotainment screen.

Each offers larger display options, too. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.5-inch infotainment screen are available on the RAV4. Meanwhile, the Corolla Cross is available with a 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster.

Whereas the Corolla Cross is available in just six trims, the RAV4 offers 15 trims for consumers to choose from. This allows the RAV4 to better conform to the needs of buyers.

The RAV4 Adventure and TRD Off-Road grades, for instance, are more off-road focused. They ought to allow the compact Toyota SUV to go a bit farther off the beaten path than the Corolla Cross and other more on-road-oriented RAV4 models. That said, the RAV4 is no Jeep Wrangler, and those looking for a serious off-road machine are better off looking at something like the aforementioned Jeep or a Toyota 4Runner.
