2024 Audi Q7: Second facelift brings freshened styling

Spy photographers have snapped a facelifted 2024 Audi Q7 undergoing winter testing, and through the camouflage we can make out some minor cosmetic tweaks.

As seen in previous spy photos, Audi has camouflaged the front and rear bumpers as well as sections of the sides of the car.

The latest spied example has lost its swirly camouflage, but black tape still disguises some details.

We can make out updated headlights and tail lights, while the grille is also set to get a refresh with a flatter octagonal design.

Audi’s new 2D logo looks to feature on the grille as well.

We can see restyled front and rear bumpers, while the camouflage at the rear appears to be hiding a more prominent diffuser.

The exhausts will also feature a slimmer square design.

While we can’t see inside the updated model, the Q7 could get an updated infotainment system and a different steering wheel design.

It’s unclear whether there will be any changes to the Q7’s powertrains.

Audi currently offers a range of turbo-petrol and turbo-diesel V6 engines in the Q7, as well as a twin-turbo petrol V8 in the sporty SQ7.

In other markets, it’s also offered with a turbocharged V6 plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Audi is preparing to go all-electric by 2033 in all markets except China.

According to previous reports, the next-generation Q7 will be among the last combustion-powered vehicles that the German automaker will produce.

Previous reports suggest that the next-generation Q7 may arrive in 2025 and in the same year Audi could also launch a Q9 to sit above it and the Q8.

The current-generation Q7 first launched in 2015 and saw its first facelift in 2020.

In 2020 Audi updated the Q7’s headlight and tail light design, bumpers, grille, and remodelled the dashboard to fit two touchscreens.

Last year Audi sold 1205 examples of its Q7, which saw it outsold by the BMW X5 (3111 sales), Mercedes-Benz GLE wagon (3093 sales), and the Land Rover Defender (1623 sales).
