Best Resorts in Turks and Caicos

1. Seven Stars Resort & Spa

Address: Grace Bay Road, Grace Bay TKCA 1ZZ, Turks and Caicos Islands

Grace Bay is on the most populous island of Turks and Caicos – Providenciales – and it is where many of the best resorts in the archipelago are located. One of the best of the best within this area is the Seven Stars Resort and Spa.

The resort has 115 rooms arranged over seven floors in three towers; they are spacious and come with private balconies, kitchens or kitchenettes, soaking tubs, marble showers, and more. They’re classy and comfortable, and you’ll surely feel like royalty during your stay.

This resort is not all-inclusive, and many guests choose to make meals in their rooms, but there are also three fantastic restaurants on site, and a continental breakfast is included daily. Further, there’s a 24-hour fitness center, a spa, a heated saltwater pool, a kids club for the ones, and a large and lovely beach. The staff at this resort is exceptional and will be standing by to attend to your needs.

In addition to all of the above, this resort is centrally located in Providenciales, which makes it easy to walk to the grocery store, restaurants, and shops. The Provo Golf Club is just three minutes away by car, and it won’t take you much more than fifteen minutes to get to anywhere you want to go on the island.

2. The Tuscany on Grace Bay

Address: Grace Bay Beach, Grace Bay Rd, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands

The Tuscany on Grace Bay is near the Seven Stars Resort & Spa described above, but it’s vastly different. First of all, it only has thirty rooms – but all of them are three-bedroom suites with kitchens and ocean-view balconies.

Second, it’s also on the beach, but it’s on a quieter stretch than its neighbors, so you’ll be able to have a very relaxing and quiet time at this property. Third, it lacks amenities like a restaurant, spa, and 24-hour staff, but if you just want to sit back, relax, and spend some peaceful time with your loved ones in paradise, this is the perfect place for you.

The Tuscany has a beautiful pool and hot tub set in a courtyard for guests to share. There are also free bikes, a fitness center, free WiFi, and barbecue grills for guest use. The concierge can arrange grocery delivery and in-room spa services if you’d like.

Although this property is self-catering and lacks many of the amenities offered by the larger resorts, this is a great choice if you want to just be left alone in a luxurious atmosphere. The suites are huge and comfortable. You’ll feel like you’ve left all your worries and cares behind while you enjoy the serenity, but at the same time, there’s a concierge at your beck and call, and you’re close to restaurants, shops, and activities elsewhere on Providenciales, too.

Things to Do Nearby

Pros

  • Silence and serenity
  • Huge, comfortable suites
  • Tremendous ocean views

Cons

  • Few amenities
  • No restaurant

Point Grace Resort is another property on the famous Grace Bay Beach, and it’s a family-friendly option that has a bit of everything that people seek in a resort.

This is a boutique property with twenty-eight rooms, all of which are suites with large terraces, living rooms, dining areas, washers and dryers, and full kitchens. They range from one to four bedrooms, and even the smallest among them is over 1,000 square feet in size. There are two onsite restaurants – one serves dinner, and the other serves breakfast and lunch – if you don’t feel like cooking, and an excellent hot breakfast is included every day.

The beach here is especially spectacular, and there’s beachfront food and drink service if you get hungry and thirsty while lounging. There’s also a lovely pool here with a poolside bar if you want to get away from the sand and salt for a bit.

The spa is top-notch and offers views of the ocean, too. There is no fitness center here, but really – who wants to work out while they’re on vacation anyway?

Further, you’ll get free transportation to and from the airport with your reservation. This resort is set apart from the others in the tourist area but is still not far from restaurants, shops, and other attractions if you feel like venturing out.

Things to Do Nearby

Pros

  • Great beach with food & drink service
  • Huge suites with kitchen

Address: Long Bay Beach, TKCA 1ZZ, Turks & Caicos Islands

The Shore Club in Turks and Caicos is another high-rated, beautiful property to consider as well. This family-friendly property offers large suites, some of which have full kitchens. You’ll also find three beautiful pools onsite, and you’ll have direct access to Long Bay Beach, which many find to be a bit mellower than the more popular Grace Bay Beach nearby.

The Shore Club has free bike rentals and tennis courts, free hot and cold breakfast, free WiFi, and free self-parking. All non-motorized water sports equipment is free as well.

Guests of The Shore Club also love the free kids’ club – it’s quite large – and the fantastic spa and fitness center here. The food is great, and the service is top-notch. There are 106 units at this resort, so it’s large but not overwhelming and is just right size-wise for most visitors.

Vacationers love The Shore Club, and it’s easy to see why. This resort has a bit of everything without too much of anything, plus lovely rooms, a great beach, excellent service, and plenty of things to do.

The Ambergris Cay Resort is not only one of the most incredible resorts in Turks and Caicos, but it’s also in the running for one of the best resorts in the world. If you’re keen on playing golf, the resort will fly you back and forth to Providenciales to play, but you’ll have to pay your own greens fees. Turks and Caicos Collection will also fly you to other nearby islands to check out their other properties if you’d like – free of charge.

Every villa has its own plunge pool, a wet bar, air conditioning, and flat-screen televisions, and is beautifully decorated. Your views are of the ocean, and you’re always literally just a few steps from the beach.

This place is incredible. If you can afford it – don’t miss it.

Address: Front Street, Cockburn, TKCA 1ZZ, Turks and Caicos Islands

Sailrock Resort South Caicos is another small resort that’s on one of Turks and Caicos’ smaller islands. In this case, it’s not a private island like #1 on our list above, but South Caicos is, in fact, an island that is on the smaller side at just 8.2 square miles and which only has a population of about 1,200.

It’s known for having one of the best coral reefs in the world. To get to this island, you’ll have to take a short flight from Providenciales, but don’t worry – it’s included in your stay at Sailrock Resort.

This property has just 35 rooms and villas and is all-inclusive. There are two restaurants and two bars onsite, but the villas also have kitchens, so you can order groceries and cook in your room if you prefer, or you can pay to have a private chef come cook for you there. The food at this resort is excellent, so you’ll likely want to let them take care of your meals most of the time.

Of course, there’s a pool, a spa, and a fitness center, and you’re right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Additional included activities include kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, biking, Hobie Cat sailing, volleyball, and bocce. ATV, guided biking, history, and boat tours can be arranged with the resort for an additional fee, as can mixology lessons, sailing lessons, and private bonfires on the beach.

Pros

  • Great food & staff
  • Lots of included amenities
  • Private and upscale
  • Free flight from Providenciales

Cons

  • Away from the action on Grand Turk or Providenciales
  • Excursions can get expensive

FAQ

When is the best time of year to visit Turks and Caicos?

In Turks and Caicos, peak season, or high season, is generally from December to March. The low season is from June to November.

If you’re looking for fewer crowds, the off-season is the time to go. However, you might also consider going in the shoulder season sweet spot – you can really get the best of both worlds in early December, April, or May.

It just depends on what you want and when you can go. But no matter when you go, you’re sure to have a fantastic beach vacation in Turks & Caicos.

What kind of weather and temperatures can I expect in Turks and Caicos?

Outside of hurricane season and rainy season, you can expect incredible weather the entire time you’re in Turks and Caicos. Of course, every now and then, a hurricane or tropical storm passes through the Caribbean, but you won’t have to worry about those if you avoid visiting between June and November.

For the most part, you can expect a high average temperature with fluctuations of only a few degrees, sunny days, and very occasional rain showers. Caribbean weather is fairly predictable – you can predict that it will be nice pretty much all of the time.
