ANA to Add, Shift Worldwide Service

All Nippon Airways effective March 26 will restore service between Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and Munich International Airport, the carrier announced Tuesday. Additionally, ANA plans to shift service to several North American destinations to Haneda from Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.

Nonstop service between Tokyo and each Houston, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Vancouver beginning March 26 will be operated exclusively via Haneda Airport, according to ANA. The carrier said the move was in response to “the anticipated rise in business demand” to Japan following the easing of Covid-19 entry restrictions. Operating those routes from Narita, according to ANA, was designed to be temporary to “accommodate connecting

demand between Asia and North America.” Service to each of those destinations from Haneda will remain at the same frequency.

Service between Haneda and Munich will operate three times weekly in each direction, according to the carrier. ANA also said it planned to resume service between Narita and Perth, Australia, but has not announced a start date.
