BCD Brings North Asia Operations Below One Managing Director

BCD Travel has extended managing director for Greater China Jonathan Kao’s role to managing director for North Asia, covering the travel management company’s operations in Japan and Hong Kong as well, the company announced.

The increase in scope comes as BCD plans to focus on Japan as “key to BCD’s future growth in the Asia Pacific region,” according to BCD president of Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and global network Greg O’Neil. “We aim to respond swiftly and efficiently to specific needs within this complex market while harmonizing the overall BCD experience for clients across multiple markets.”

Kao has been with BCD since 2016 and has overseen growth, improved client service and expanded service offerings in Greater China, according to the TMC. As he extends his role, BCD Travel Japan managing director Kazuhiko Otani will move to a consulting role.
