Honda Jazz occupants cheat loss of life in high-speed crash caught on digicam

Two people in a Honda Fit (Jazz) have miraculously survived a high-speed crash after the driver allegedly exited a freeway and failed to stop before crashing into a nearby building.

According to reports from CBS News Boston, commuters on Interstate 495 in Massachusetts reported to local Marlborough Police that a car was being driven “erratically” on Thursday, November 2.

CCTV footage from outside the IPG Photonics building shows the Honda speeding into the parking lot located just off the freeway exit, coming into contact with a concrete bollard before smashing through the front doors of the office space.

CBS News Boston reports both the driver and passenger were found unconscious at the scene when emergency services arrived, and it took over 30 minutes for them to be extricated from the wreck of the car.

It’s unclear the condition of the pair however the passenger was pinned underneath the dashboard and sustained “serious leg injuries” and was “complaining of pain all over”, battalion chief Eric Christensen told CBS News Boston.

“It didn’t seem like they had slowed down at all. We were surprised that they’re as lucky as they were and at the condition of the vehicle as well,” he said.

Carscoops reports no one inside the building was injured including a receptionist who was just metres away from where the vehicle came to a stop.

The vehicle was towed away and it’s expected police will conduct a full investigation into the incident.
