Aeroplan Black Friday 2023 Offers: 10x Factors with a Co-Branded Credit score Card

Air Canada and Aeroplan have started to release a series of Black Friday 2023 deals and promotions, to coincide with the shopping frenzy in the coming weeks.

The first promotion to be announced is earning 10 Aeroplan points per dollar spent at the Aeroplan eStore with an eligible Aeroplan co-branded credit card.

We can expect to hear about more deals in the coming days, but first, let’s take stock of what we know so far.

Black Friday 2023: 10x Points with an Aeroplan Credit Card!

The first Black Friday promotion announced by Aeroplan is earning 10x Aeroplan points per dollar spent at the Aeroplan eStore with a co-branded credit card. We also saw this promotion in 2022, and it’s a great way to boost your Aeroplan balance, especially on larger purchases.

To benefit from this elevated earning rate, you’ll need to adhere to the promotion’s terms and conditions.

Importantly, eligible Aeroplan credit cardholders must first register for the promotion, which begins on November 7, 2023 and ends on November 27, 2023 at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

(In the terms and conditions on the promotion’s landing page, it states that only those who have received an email communication about the offer are eligible. We’re confirming if this offer is targeted or global, and will update this page accordingly.)

Then, if you make an eligible purchase at the Aeroplan eStore between 12:01am Eastern Time on November 23 and 11:59pm Eastern Time on November 27, 2023, you’ll earn an additional 10 Aeroplan points per dollar spent when you pay with your registered credit card.

Keep in mind that the additional 10 points per dollar spent come in addition to the earning rate at the eStore, as well as a bonus of 2 Aeroplan points per dollar spent if you have any tier of Aeroplan Elite Status.

You can earn a maximum of 25,000 Aeroplan points with this promotion, which would require you to spend $2,500 (CAD). Not all retailers and products will be eligible for this promotional earning rate, and you’ll need to check each store to see what counts and what doesn’t.

The bonus points will be credited to your account by January 31, 2024, and unfortunately, they don’t count towards Everyday Status Qualification, as per the terms and conditions.

Last year, this Black Friday promotion stacked with earning up to 10 Aeroplan points per dollar spent with specific retailers, and we’re hopeful that Aeroplan will roll out a similar offer this year.

In fact, you could earn up to 23.25 Aeroplan points per dollar spent at the eStore through last year’s Black Friday promotions:

  • 10 points per dollar spent with an Aeroplan co-branded credit card registered for the Black Friday promotion
  • 10 points per dollar spent with promotional earning rates for Black Friday
  • 2 points per dollar spent with Aeroplan Elite Status
  • 1.25 points per dollar spent with a premium Aeroplan co-branded credit card

Hopefully, we’ll see a similar structure to the Black Friday offers this year.

If you don’t yet have an Aeroplan co-branded credit card, there should be time to apply for one and have it shipped to you in time for the promotion.

What Else Is In Store for Black Friday 2023?

We expect Aeroplan and Air Canada to announce more Black Friday promotions in the coming days and weeks.

In 2022, the following Black Friday offers were put out by Air Canada and Aeroplan:

  • Earn 50–100% bonus points when booking flights or vacation packages
  • Get 5% or a minimum of 1,000 and up to 25,000 points back on eligible flight redemptions
  • Earn 10x Aeroplan points per dollar spent at the eStore with a co-branded credit card
  • Earn up to 10x Aeroplan points per dollar spent at eligible eStore retailers
  • Discounted merchandise available at the Aeroplan eStore
  • Earn 3x points on Air Canada gift cards
  • Buy Aeroplan points with a 105–115% bonus
  • Discounts & bonuses on hotels, car rentals, and more

If you have any Air Canada flights or vacations to book, or if you think you might benefit from any of the offers above, the best strategy might be to wait until later this month to see which offers are unveiled.

While there’s no guarantee that the offers that were available in 2022 will return this year, we should see similar promotions, and perhaps even some new ones.

As soon as we find out about new deals and promotions, we’ll be sure to update this page.

Conclusion

Aeroplan and Air Canada have started rolling out the 2023 Black Friday offers.

The first promotion is earning 10 points per dollar spent on eligible purchases at the Aeroplan eStore with a co-branded credit card. You’ll need to register for the offer first, and then make purchases from November 23–27, 2023, to earn up to 25,000 points on $2,500 (CAD) spent.

We’re expecting to learn more about Black Friday promotions in the near future, so stay tuned for more exciting deals and plan accordingly.
