Amex Presents: Save as much as $72 on YouTube subscriptions

With all the streaming options we have now, it’s easy to let our streaming subscription costs get out of hand. Fortunately, we have some favorite ways to save on streaming services and taking advantage of Amex Offers is an easy one.

If YouTube TV or YouTube Premium is on your list of subscriptions, check your Amex account to see if you’ve been targeted for either of two offers.

Save up to $60 with YouTube TV

You can earn a $20 statement credit when you use your enrolled eligible card to make a YouTube TV subscription purchase of $54.99 or more online at tv.youtube.com. The offer ends on Aug. 6 and has a limit of 3 statement credits (total of $60).

The normal cost of a YouTube TV subscription is $64.99 monthly, but new subscribers can take advantage of an introductory offer that brings the cost down to $54.99 for the first three months. If you can take advantage of both the introductory offer and the Amex offer, your cost will be just $34.99 per month for three months.

Save up to $12 with YouTube Premium

The other offer is for a $6 statement credit when you use your enrolled eligible card to make a YouTube Premium purchase of $11.99 or more online at youtube.com/premium. This offer ends on Aug. 6 and has a limit of 2 statement credits (total of $12).

The normal cost of a YouTube Premium subscription is $11.99 monthly, so this offer will bring your cost down to $5.99 for up to two months.

How to register for these Amex Offers

To see if you’ve been targeted, log in to your American Express account and view the offers you have on all your cards. If you see these YouTube offers listed, add them to your card. Then, use that card to make your YouTube purchase as detailed in the offers.

If you don’t see either or both of these offers right away, make sure to check the other cards on your account as well.

Bottom line

Remember that these offers work as a credit on your bill, so you won’t see the final price reflected when you go to make your purchase. But fear not — it will appear on your statement later.

Note that a YouTube TV subscription does not include YouTube Premium, so you’ll need to purchase them separately.

Even if you aren’t targeted for these offers, make sure you’re saving by using the right credit card for your streaming purchases.
