Looking for an e-bike that easily reaches the top (legal) speeds — but doesn’t look like an e-bike?
Cervélo’s new Rouvida model “effortlessly” accelerates to 28 mph, thanks to its Fazua Ride60 motor and 432Wh battery, the Canadian company wrote in a press release. It looks a lot like non-motorized Cervélo bikes, thanks to the electric components placed inside the frame.
The company’s first e-bike also comes in both road and gravel configurations, with equal attention paid to the geometry of both, Cervélo said.
“We designed some clever interchangeable dropouts that significantly alter the geometry of the bike,” the release said. “The innovative interchangeable dropouts go beyond the conventional ‘flip chip’ concept, rotating the entire frame to deliver the precise fit and handling expected.”

Part of Cervélo’s strategy involves offering an e-bike with solid performance that reflects the company’s chic aesthetic. The company’s marketing photos certainly reflect that attitude, with some Coachella-type lighting for the gravel model and a road-model showcase that looks like Marfa, Texas.
With a sleek speed sensor on the frame, which also houses both the motor and battery, Cervélo presents an e-bike that preserves the company’s design ethos.
There are also noticeable differences in the geometry between the road and gravel designs. The gravel setup features a 0.7° slacker head tube angle, while the road version adheres to steeper, more conventional angles. Tire clearance comes out to 43.5mm for gravel and 34mm for road. Also, the gravel setup provides a 7mm taller stack and a 5mm shorter reach.
For all models, the Road Control system places power and assist control within the handlebar’s drop, while the top tube indicator panel includes a USB charging port for lights and accessories.
Equipped with a Class 3 Fazua Ride 60 motor, the Rouvida offers a maximum power output of 450W and a 430Wh battery capacity. It can reach a maximum speed of 28 mph. (In the U.K. and EU, it adheres to Class 1 regulations, capping at 20 mph.)
Cervélo Rouvida: Pricing and Availability
This sleek e-bike is available starting December 5. It comes in two models for road (the Red and the Rival) and two models for gravel (Force and the GRX).
The road bike models will set you back $13,000 for the Red or $7,500 for the Rival, with the primary differences found in the wheelset and handlebars. They come only in plasma blue (which looks much like black).
As for the gravel design, the website lists a price tag of $9,800 for the Force and $6,200 for the GRX. Once again, the main difference lies in the wheelset and handlebars. Both gravel bikes come in gray with yellow accents.
