As per usual, the latest installment in the Gymkhana series of films from the Hoonigans leaves me in awe of the driver, the machine, and the cinematography. Yes, that trifecta is rarely achieved, but the Hoonigans continue to deliver. Sadly, Electrikhana TWO is the last time we’ll see Ken Block behind the wheel (R.I.P. Ken).
More than any other Hoonigan Gymkhana film before it, Electrikhana TWO covers a lot of ground, this time in Mexico City. It showcases Block’s rally-inspired style mixed with precision drifting, many times in ways only an electric car can accomplish. The film was shot in November 2022.

Mexico’s famous topes (speed bumps) are used to good effect throughout the film to unsettle the Audi S1 Hoonitron — many times sending an end of the car quite high into the air.
The coolest part about Electrikhana TWO — besides seeing Ken Block shred one more time — is the impressive electric vehicle tech on display. In no other vehicle can you throw a car into reverse while going quite quickly in a forward gear and get the wheels spinning in the opposite direction. EV tech has a big future in drift and Gymkhana-type driving.
Credits start to roll just after the 8-minute mark. But, the film rolls on with an awesome retrospective of highlights of the Gymkhana films that Ken Block has driven in.
While this latest film won’t be the last Hoonigan Gymkhana film, it is the last we’ll see with Ken Block behind the wheel. That makes me very sad. His influence on car culture is really in a league of its own. What makes me happy, though, is the big things we’ll no doubt continue to see from Block House Racing and 43 Institute, as the Block family carries on Ken’s legacy.
