Gross sales up 33.5% to new document, VW (+211.4%) and Dacia (+84.6%) surge – Greatest Promoting Vehicles Weblog


Volkswagen sales triple year-on-year in Turkey this month.

The Turkish new light vehicle market soars 33.5% year-on-year in January to hit a new record for the month at 50,894 units. It beats the previous best of 43,728 established in 2021. Fiat (+43.7%) advances faster than the market to a solid 19.4% share. But it’s Volkswagen (+211.4%), up to 10% share vs. 7.7% over the Full Year 2022, and Dacia (+84.6%), up to 10% of the market also vs. 4.6% over FY2022, that impress the most. Hyundai (+13.6%) retreats at #4 while Ford (-15.8%) and Renault (-38.6%) are in complete freefall given the dynamism of the market this month. Skoda (+196.9%) more than doubles its FY2022 share from 2.5% to 5.4% with Peugeot (+51.4%) also in great shape. Below, Mercedes (+101.5%), Nissan (+92.6%) and MG (+1650%!) stun.
