Redeem Alternative factors for NASCAR tickets and particular entry

Do you feel the need, you know, the need for speed? On Jan. 31, Choice Privileges announced a new sponsorship with Trackhouse Racing for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Now, Choice Privileges has released the first four NASCAR experiences this season, for which you can redeem Choice points.

If you’ve been waiting to redeem Choice points for NASCAR tickets and special access, here’s what you need to know.

Redeem Choice points for NASCAR tickets

The first four Trackhouse Racing NASCAR experiences you can book with Choice points are at the following races:

  • Feb. 25: Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia
  • March 3: Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas
  • March 10: Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona
  • March 17: Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee

You’ll need to redeem 115,000 Choice points for each of these experiences. Based on TPG’s valuations, 115,000 Choice points are worth about $690. But in exchange for your Choice points, you’ll get:

  • Two VIP tickets with access to the garage, pit road and the grandstand
  • Tour of the Trackhouse garage and pit road
  • Meet-and-greet with the pit crew and drivers
  • Pre-race hospitality with food and drink

If these NASCAR experiences are as popular as the most recent college sports experiences for which you could redeem Choice points, I expect they’ll sell out quickly. So, if you are interested, head to the landing page on Choice’s website to book your experience sooner rather than later.

However, these aren’t the only NASCAR experiences you’ll have the chance to book with Choice points this season. After all, Julie Purser, vice president of loyalty strategy and membership rewards for Choice Hotels International, shared the following statement in a press release:

We know our Choice Privileges members seek out experiences, valuing experiences over things, which is why we are expanding Choice Privileges Experiences to include all 38 races in the 2024 NASCAR Cup series season.

Earn Choice points to book NASCAR experiences

Suppose you want to earn Choice points quickly to book a currently available NASCAR experience. In that case, you’ll likely want to buy Choice points or transfer American Express Membership Rewards points, Capital One miles or Citi ThankYou points to Choice. Amex Membership Rewards points and Capital One miles transfer to Choice at a 1:1 ratio, but Citi ThankYou points transfer at a 1:2 ratio.

If you aren’t ready to book any of the current experiences — or they’re sold out by the time you look — you may want to use the extra time to earn more Choice points. If you have more time, you can consider staying at Choice Hotels and utilizing current Choice promotions to earn more points.

Alternatively, you could add a Choice Privileges credit card or a Citi ThankYou card to your wallet. Here’s a look at some cards and their current sign-up bonuses:

By signing up for a card now and meeting the minimum spending requirements to earn the bonus, you could earn rewards to redeem for a Trackhouse Racing experience bookable with Choice points later this season.

Bottom line

More ways to redeem points are always good. I like to redeem Choice points for stays in Europe and Japan. But I expect passionate NASCAR fans will love these new experiences and enjoy the ability to redeem Choice points for special access at their favorite races.

These experiences will likely sell out quickly. So, if you want to redeem Choice points for NASCAR tickets with special access, you’ll want to move quickly.
