Air France’s long-haul capacity will be increased by 9 percent year over year this summer with flights to 85 destinations, the carrier announced Monday. It also is continuing to roll out its new long-haul cabins.
In addition to launching service between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Phoenix, which was previously announced, Air France plans to resume daily flights to Minneapolis, and increase Raleigh-Durham, N.C., service to seven weekly flights from three during the winter season.
For the summer season, Air France will fly to the United States more than 210 times per week serving 17 destinations and will operate nearly 60 flights to five Canadian cities, according to the carrier.
The airline also is continuing its rollout of new cabins on Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A350-900 aircraft. After starting with flights to New York, Newark, Washington, D.C., Boson, Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Bangkok, Dakar, Tokyo Haneda, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and Johannesburg, Air France plans to introduce its new business, premium economy and economy cabins this summer on flights to Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mexico, Tokyo Narita and Papeete, French Polynesia, according to the carrier.
