Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has launched a loyalty program for businesses that allows corporate clients to accrue points for Wyndham hotel stays in addition to the points that individual travelers can earn, Wyndham announced Tuesday.
Corporate members of the hotel company’s new Wyndham Rewards Business will be able to accrue one point for every dollar spent at a participating Wyndham property for up to a nine-night stay in addition to the points the traveler earns. Corporate points can be redeemed for future stays, according to the company. Stays must be booked through Wyndham’s app, websites or other direct channel; bookings through travel management companies are not eligible for points.
The offer will not apply at Echo, Wyndham’s upcoming extended-stay brand.
Corporate clients also will be allowed to gift Wyndham Rewards gold status to three travelers through Dec. 31 of the year they enroll.
Wyndham Rewards Business is part of the hotel company’s Wyndham Business platform, a suite of perks and discounts for business travel. Corporations must sign up for Wyndham Business to take part in the Wyndham Rewards Business program.
“Wyndham’s continued investment in its business platform is the latest in a series of efforts designed to drive more direct business to its franchisees and comes amid positive growth trends for both traditional and non-traditional business travel,” the company said in a statement. Infrastructure-related spending makes up the lion’s share of Wyndham’s business travel revenue.
Wyndham Rewards Business is available now, and the company said businesses can earn 7,500 Wyndham Rewards bonus points—”enough for a free night at thousands of Wyndham hotels worldwide”—if they sign up for Wyndham Rewards Business by June 30.
