American Express has integrated in the Emburse expense management platform, enabling Emburse clients to issue Amex virtual cards within the platform.
With the integration, eligible American Express Business, Corporate and Corporate Purchasing Card clients can connect their programs to Emburse Spend and issue virtual cards from the platform. Expenses on the virtual cards, which replace physical card numbers with digital card numbers, automatically go into the Emburse accounting system, with expenses coded by category and custom fields for more efficient expense submission, according to Emburse.
Companies “benefit from the control, transparency and enhanced security of virtual cards, which are quickly becoming an integral form of business payments,” Amex VP of corporate solutions product management Widad Chaoui said in a statement. “This integration combines automated expense management and virtual card issuance into a single solution, making it easier for our customers and saving them time.”
