Business Vet Olsen Amongst New HRS Execs

Corporate lodging and payment platform HRS has named two new executives to its management team, the company announced Thursday: former Motus executive Christian Miller as chief revenue officer and industry veteran Alexander Olsen as VP of spend management and payment consulting.

Miller joins HRS from tech company Motus, where he also served as chief revenue officer, and previously had stints at tech firm Perforce Software as well as financial and payment firms U.S. Bank and GE Capital, according to HRS. He will oversee HRS’s “global go-to-market strategy and execution, as well as the company’s corporate sales and account management teams worldwide,” according to the company. Miller reports to HRS CEO Tobias Ragge.

Olsen most recently served as director of global travel and expense product management for commercial cards for Citi, and previously served at travel companies Radius Travel, Globalstar and American Express Global Business Travel. He is charged with directing HRS’s “payment technology development and consulting teams, managing the company’s relationships with financial industry and expense management providers and influencing the company’s ongoing refinement of payment, spend and invoice management solutions,” according to HRS. Olsen reports to Miller.

Both executives have global roles and are based in the United States. “North America is driving corporate travel’s comeback. More companies are allocating increased dollars for travel across all segments, while also seeking data-driven automation to maximize the value of their lodging spend,” Ragge said in a statement. “Accordingly, HRS is continuing to ramp up our presence, bringing superior expertise to go with our pioneering Lodging-as-a-Service platform.”
