KLM to launch service from Portland, Oregon, to Amsterdam

Oregon’s Portland International Airport (PDX) is set for a SkyTeam swap on its nonstop connection to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS).

Starting this fall, KLM will launch nonstop service from the Pacific Northwest to Amsterdam.

The Dutch carrier will take over the current route operated by Delta Air Lines beginning Oct. 27, KLM said in a statement Wednesday.

KLM will operate the route with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, flying three weekly round trips during the winter months. Then, starting next summer, the carrier will expand to five weekly round trips.
