Altour Launches Quintet of AI Choices

Altour has compiled a suite of AI- and machine-learning-powered tools to provide support in booking, disruption management, communication, compliance and data, the travel management company announced.

Among the five offerings in the new Altour Intelligence suite, two are powered by third-party technology providers. Lumo, the flight disruption management technology that last month won Business Travel Show Europe’s Innovation Faceoff, is powering its AI Predict offering, which sends travelers alerts before and during their travel to help them manage and avoid disruptions, backed up by assistance via text and WhatsApp. The suite also includes an AI Book feature, powered by travel management technology provider ‘Ello, which tailors booking options to travelers’ policy and preferences across devices and booking channels.

Other features in the suite include a support service, AI Respond, that can provide travelers with responses to basic requests, such as confirmations, invoice requests or alternative options when a flight is canceled. Altour’s AI Insights feature allows travel managers and travelers to get information in the travel portal through natural language inquiries, such as locating travelers, availability of unused travel credits or sustainability metrics, the TMC said.

In addition, the suite features AI Transform, which helps travel managers develop branded video content with lifelike avatars and instant language translation to push travel program compliance.
