Cozy cabin in North Carolina’s Nantahala National Forest

VACASA.COM

Cost: 90,000 Wyndham Rewards points for three nights when booked through Vacasa

Roughly three hours from both Atlanta and Charlotte, this mountain escape is still available over Labor Day weekend — and since it’s listed on Vacasa, you can book it with Wyndham Rewards points. Big on cozy touches, the log cabin-style Eagle’s Nest has a wood-burning fireplace, an outdoor fire pit and a huge wraparound deck with mountain views. Downtown Franklin’s shopping and dining are only eight miles away.

Keep in mind that when it comes to award stays, Vacasa charges by the bedroom. If the average nightly price (inclusive of all taxes and fees) is $250 or less, you’ll need 15,000 points per bedroom per night; this increases to 30,000 if the average price is between $250 and $500. Properties that cost more than $500 aren’t bookable with points. And you won’t be able to book with points online; you’ll have to call Vacasa.
