The new Coyote color caught my eye as I unzipped my trusty Peak Design Everyday Backpack. It’s a fresh take on their classic design, and I couldn’t wait to test it out.

I’ve used Peak Design gear as a travel writer and photographer for years. Their products have been my companion on countless adventures, from bustling city streets to remote mountain trails. This new Coyote version promised to be as vile and durable as its predecessors.

I loaded the backpack with my camera gear, laptop, and travel essentials. The 30-liter capacity swallowed everything with room to spare. As I adjusted the straps, I felt that familiar comfort settle in. Peak Design always nails the ergonomics.

I’ll share my first-hand experiences with the Everyday Backpack throughout this review. Below are all my photos of the product, showcasing the sleekness of the Coyote Colorway. I was super excited to finally get this delivered, as I’ve been a huge fan of Peak Design products and have desperately needed a durable backpack for exploring my local home of Amsterdam and my other European adventures.

I’ll show you how it performs in real-world situations, backed by photos from recent trips. I’ll also cover its design, storage options, and how it holds up to the rigors of travel and photography.

Bottom Line

After putting the Peak Design Everyday Backpack through its paces, I’m impressed with its versatility and durability. It’s a solid choice for photographers and travelers alike.

I’ve been using this backpack for a while and am impressed. The Coyote color is a nice change from the usual black or gray bags. It’s super versatile – I’ve used it for day trips, work, and even as a camera bag. The dividers inside are cool because I can move them around to fit whatever I carry.

One thing I love is how easy it is to access my stuff. The top flap opens with magnets and zips on both sides—no more digging around! The laptop sleeve fits my 15-inch computer perfectly and keeps it safe.

The bag can expand, too, which is handy when I need extra space. It’s got hidden straps to carry stuff on the outside. The material feels tough and waterproof – I got caught in the rain once, and everything inside stayed dry.

It’s not the cheapest bag out there, but I think it’s worth it because it is well-made and useful. If you’re looking for a do-it-all backpack that’ll last, this might be the one for you.

I’ve been using this backpack for a while now, and I gotta say, it’s become my go-to for pretty much everything. The Peak Design Everyday Backpack 30L in Coyote is a game-changer for folks needing a versatile bag to keep up with their busy lives. Let me break down some of the standout features that have impressed me.

Versatile Design

This bag is like a chameleon – it adapts to whatever I need it for. I love how I can move the internal dividers around to fit my camera gear one day and my gym clothes the next.

It’s not just for photographers; it’s great for daily use, travel, or even as a diaper bag. The customization options are endless, and I never feel like forcing my stuff to fit.

Easy Access

With this backpack, getting to my stuff is a breeze. The MagLatch at the top is super cool—I can open it with one hand, which is handy when juggling other things. The side zips are a game-changer, too.

I don’t have to dig through everything to find what I need. I unzip the side and grab it. It’s saved me so much time and frustration.

Laptop Protection

My laptop feels safe and sound in this bag. The padded sleeve fits my 15-inch laptop perfectly. I like that I can access it from the outside of the bag. This means I don’t have to open up the main compartment and risk everything falling out to grab my computer. These little thoughtful touches make a big difference in day-to-day use.

As you can see from above, we tossed some water on the backpack to test how it would handle water resistance claims. It performed quite nicely. We did have some water marks after drying it off with a towel, so we’d exercise caution, as always, in inclement weather conditions.

Expandable Capacity

I’m always amazed at how much this bag can hold. It expands by 8 liters inside, which is great when I need to pack a bit extra. But the real secret weapon is the four hidden straps on the outside. I’ve used them to carry my tripod, yoga mat, and small tent. It’s like having an extra set of hands to carry stuff.

The Coyote color is stylish and doesn’t show dirt easily, which I appreciate. And let’s not forget about the weatherproof material – I’ve been caught in the rain a few times, and my gear stayed dry. It’s tough, too; I’ve had mine for a while now, and it still looks great despite daily use.

One thing to keep in mind is that it’s not the lightest bag out there. When it’s fully loaded, it can get a bit heavy. But the straps are comfy, and the weight distributes well, so it’s not a deal-breaker for me.

Pros of the Backpack

I’ve gotta say, this Peak Design bag is a real gem. I took it on my latest trip and was blown away by how much it could hold. The expandable capacity is a lifesaver – I managed to squeeze in all my camera gear plus extra clothes with room to spare.

The side access zips are super handy, too. I won’t have to dig around blindly for my stuff! And let’s talk about comfort. Even when fully loaded, the straps didn’t dig into my shoulders.

I love how versatile it is. One day, I used it for a photo shoot, and the next, I used it as a day pack for hiking. When caught in a surprise shower, the weatherproof material gave me peace of mind.

My laptop and tablet felt safe and snug in their dedicated sleeves. And those hidden straps? Perfect for attaching a tripod or jacket. This backpack has quickly become my go-to for both work and play.

Cons of the Backpack

I gotta admit, this bag isn’t perfect. The price tag made my wallet cry a little. It’s not exactly budget-friendly for everyone. I found the side access zippers tricky to use with one hand. They sometimes get stuck, which can be annoying when I’m in a hurry. The bag is also pretty heavy, even when empty. After a long day of carrying it around, my shoulders felt it.

Another thing that bugged me was the lack of a water bottle pocket. I had to put my drink inside, which made me nervous about spills. The magnets on the top flap are cool, but they can be noisy when opening and closing. It’s not great if you’re trying to be quiet.

While it’s super roomy, I sometimes felt like carrying a small suitcase. It might be overkill for daily use if you don’t need to haul a ton of gear.

Why This Backpack Is Perfect for Travelers

I’ve taken this baby on countless trips, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer. The Peak Design backpack is like Mary Poppins’ bag – it fits way more than you’d think! I love how I can customize the inside with those cool dividers. They’re like little origami pieces that let me organize my stuff just how I want.

The best part? I can grab my gear super fast. There’s a top flap and zips on both sides, so I won’t have to dig around forever. And don’t get me started on the laptop sleeve—it’s padded and easy to reach—perfect for going through airport security!

I’m always amazed at how comfy it is, even when packed full. The straps are comfy and sit right on my back. Plus, it looks and feels sleek. If you travel a lot, this backpack is worth every penny.

I have to say, this backpack has been turning heads! After taking it on a few trips, I’m impressed with how well it holds up. People seem to love the smart design and sturdy build. Many reviewers rave about those origami dividers—they’re a game-changer for organizing gear.

The 30L size is perfect for travel. It fits a ton but still works as a carry-on. I’ve found it comfy even when loaded up. Not everyone’s a fan of the side access, though. It can be tricky to get into while wearing, and you can easily lose items out the sides if you’re not careful about fully zipping them up. But most folks think it’s worth the splurge for the quality and features.

Is It Worth the Investment?

This backpack is pretty pricey. But after using it for a while, I think it’s worth every penny. The quality is top-notch. I’ve taken it on several trips, and it still looks brand new. I love how I can customize the inside with those cool dividers. It makes organizing my gear so much easier.

The bag is super comfy to wear, even when it’s packed full. I appreciate the side zips for quick access—no more digging around blindly! The laptop sleeve is one of the most impressive I’ve ever encountered.

Remember that it might be overkill if you use it for everyday stuff. But for photographers or frequent travelers, I’d say go for it. You won’t regret investing in this backpack.
