Emirates to Deliver Upgraded Cabins to U.S.

Emirates will bring its latest business-class seats to the U.S. for the first time on retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft on six routes, and will add more premium economy seats, the carrier announced Wednesday.

The refurbished planes will operate on direct flights to Chicago, Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth and Seattle, as well as on flights to Miami linked to Bogotá, and to Newark, N.J., via Athens. The rollout is scheduled to begin Nov. 1 with Chicago flights and continue through February 19 with the Miami-Bogotá flights. By February 2025, 10 of 12 Emirates’ U.S. gateways will offer premium economy, according to the carrier.

The business-class cabin on the retrofitted aircraft will offer either 38 or 40 seats in a 1-2-1 arrangement, with more privacy than previously available, a fully reclining flat bed and a personal minibar, according to Emirates. The aircraft will include six or eight first-class suites, 24 premium economy seats and 256 economy seats.
