Despite this minor flaw, the lock is reliable and straightforward to use. For most average individuals, there isn’t a scenario where we imagine this lock would fail.

The size and weight of this knife make it far from an ultralight option, but it does strike a decent balance between being both extraordinarily sturdy and relatively portable. Compared to the first iteration of this knife, the Para Military 2 has a larger lanyard hole, making it even easier to find carrying options. Regardless of that change, the knife weighs about 3.75 ounces and is one of the heaviest pocket knives we’ve reviewed.
