Tech firm Travel Technology & Solutions has launched a new version of Travelport Mobile Agent that it is calling its “biggest update ever,” adding new capabilities around customer communication and unused ticket management, the company announced.
New capabilities in Travelport Mobile Agent 5.0, which gives agents full access to the Travelport global distribution system from their mobile device, include a one-click process to send itineraries and personalized travel quotes, as well as the capability to add a customizable markup on prices either as a percentage or fixed amount, TTS said. The update also includes the ability to attach city guides for more than 3,000 destinations alongside quotes and itineraries.
In addition, the updated tool automatically can identify available refunds from unused tickets by scanning ticketing systems for unused segments, notifying agents instantly when one is available, TTS said.
“Routine tasks often get in the way, so TMA 5.0 was designed to help agents be more efficient, profitable and provide even better service,” TTS CEO João Santos said in a statement. “This free update includes new tools that give agents more control, flexibility and speed in their everyday operations.”
