Celeste is an LA based Registered Nurse, holistic skincare expert and non-toxic lifestyle advocate who’s been weeding through all the crap the beauty industry feeds us to give us some tired and true recommendations that really work. After suffering from acne and even being on Accutane, Celeste learned how to actually heal her acne from within with lifestyle practices, diet and skin-safe products. Today she is going ot share her top tips with YOU.

You may already know all of that if you read her guest post on nutrition, health and exercise. Today she is back to share her exact wind down routine. Celeste is a wealth of knowledge, beautiful inside and out, has amazing energy and is super specific, which you know we love.

Hi loves! I have overcome some majorly acne prone skin. My mission is to use everything I’ve learned over the past 15 years in the skincare and wellness industries to help you feel your most skin confident.

As a freak early bird and working mom of a toddler who’s currently PREGNANT I’m tired AF at night. I need efficiency and effectiveness. The goal is to wake up like a well-rested glazed doughnut. Do I nail most days? Damn straight. 

Celeste Fact: Not only does sleep impact energy, but also our rehydration system for our skin, which is activated at night. So if we don’t sleep well, our skin won’t ever be as hydrated and youthful looking as it can be. And personally giving up Botox at 35, your girl is doing everything she can to prevent wrinkles naturally. 

Wind Down With Celeste Thomas: The Skincare Expert’s Exact Routine

+ Cleanse away all impurities for 1 full minute (trust me) using Honest Gentle Cleanser . This product is non-pore clogging and perfect for all my acne prone girlies, myself included!

+ Pat face dry with an Organic Face Towel I use a new one every wash to prevent breakouts. 

+ Ice roll for 15 minutes using ice roller by The Skinny Confidential (obvi) to help reduce inflammation and prevent breakouts. If you’re pregnant you definitely need to do this.

+ Anti Acne Mist, SKINSPRAY by Clearstem with hypochlorous acid to help prevent breakouts, Magnesium PCA to hydrate, and Peptides to help stimulate collagen. 

+ Followed by a Hydrating Essence Serum, to hydrate the skin and optimize product absorption. 

+ Clearity Serum from Clearstem, which helps dissolve blackheads and prevent breakout. It contains Mandelic acid (gentle enough for pregnancy), Vitamin C, and Turmeric, which is antioxidant packed to help with hyperpigmentation.

+ Last, but not least. The Hydraglow moisturizer from Clearstem, which is a stem cell moisturizer with bakuchiol & squalane (great alternative to retinol) that will leave your skin plump and won’t irritate the skin. 

After I finish my skincare routine, I head downstairs and spend quality time with my husband and watch our favorite shows while I wait for everything to dry which is about 2 hours. LOL.

*FINISH WIND DOWN ROUTINE 1 HOUR BEFORE BED*

+ Apply Dermaclara Silicone Wrinkle Patches  under eyes

+ Kinesiology Tape to help lift my right jowl, a product of sleeping on my side my whole life, please please sleep on your back if you don’t already! The weight of your head breaks down bone, muscle, and collagen leaving you with a low side, which no one wants (check out this Reel for a visual). 

+ Frownies for my forehead to keep wrinkles at bay, I really love these but I’ve learned that taking them off with water in the AM is a must to help avoid sensitivity. 

+ The Skinny Confidential Mouth Tape, wake up with a snatched jawline, brighter eyes, and more energy.

+ Castor Oil for eyelash and eyebrow growth. 

+ Every night I sleep with this specific pillow to help me sleep on my back and silk pillow case.

Lastly, I’m very big on getting a solid hour before bed without screens. I use the Hatch Alarm, so I’m not stimulated by distractions like blue light, Instagram, podcasts, and doom scrolling. This has really changed the game for me. It’s hard at first, but when I do it consistently I truly feel my BEST.
