Navan has established a New Distribution Capability direct connection with U.S. low-cost carrier Breeze Airways, making its content available on its platform.
Breeze, which was launched in 2021 by JetBlue founder David Neeleman, now serves more than 200 seasonal and year-round nonstop routes across 66 U.S. cities, focusing largely on “underserved” markets that have no other commercial nonstop flight options. The carrier was “one of our most-requested airlines,” according to Navan Travel CEO Rich Liu.
Navan, the former TripActions, is one of Breeze’s “first corporate travel partners, as we collaborate to bring more affordable and efficient flight options to business travelers and especially road warriors,” Breeze chief commercial officer Lukas Johnson said in a statement.
In August, travel management company AmTrav announced it had added Breeze to its corporate booking tool, including a new BreezeCorp bundle for corporate travelers that is refundable and includes a carry-on baggage allowance and a standard seat assignment. That bundle will be available through Navan’s connection as well.
Breeze also was included in the U.S. General Services Administration’s City Pair Program for the first time this year.
Additionally, Navan this week announced an NDC connection with Iberia. Navan reports NDC connections with 17 major airlines globally and that more than a quarter of the flights booked on its platform are through NDC.
