Icelandair on Sept. 5, 2025, will launch flights between Reykjavik and Istanbul, Turkey, the carrier announced Thursday. Service will operate four times weekly with a flight time of about five hours and 30 minutes.
In addition, Icelandair and Turkish Airlines will expand their codeshare partnership, announced in summer 2023. Icelandair’s schedule to Istanbul will be coordinated to align with Turkish Airlines flights to and from Asia and the Middle East, according to Icelandair.
Southwest Airlines earlier this fall announced that Icelandair would be its first partner carrier, with the bilateral partnership scheduled to begin in 2025.
