There’s nothing quite like climbing up a snowy chute on the side of a mountain with your best friends, stripping down into your birthday suits at the top, and shredding gnar in the buff. It’s been a time-honored tradition, upheld in ski movies, by ski calendars, and among ski buddies for decades. And this year, it’s back on the big screen in Matchstick Productions’ latest film, Calm Beneath Castles.

The film is currently on tour, premiering in cities across the U.S. It’s a full-send, Matchstick-style exposé of some of the highest-quality gnar shredding you’ll see on screen this year. Athletes like Sam Kuch, Michelle Parker, Dennis Ranalter, Colby Stevenson, Jess Hotter, Craig Murray, Janelle Yip, John Collinson, and many others make for a star-studded cast.

The film includes segments in Haines, Alaska; Sugarbowl, California; Monument Ranch, Utah; and abroad in Japan, Australia, and Canada. And, of course, there is this cheeky segment, which was shot in Nevada at Terminal Couloir.

To see where Calm Beneath Castles is premiering on tour, visit the Matchstick webpage for the film. For more quick segments like this, check out the company’s YouTube page.
