Aer Lingus has launched new benefits for its AerClub members flying American Airlines and on Dec. 2 will extend the same to members flying British Airways, the flag carrier for Ireland announced Tuesday.
AerClub Platinum and Concierge level loyalty members when flying on any of the three carriers are eligible for priority check-in, priority boarding, fast-track security and lounge access, except for Caribbean destinations, according to Aer Lingus. Silver members are eligible for priority check-in and priority boarding. BA also is offering an additional checked bag in economy for Platinum members, while Concierge members will get an additional checked-bag option for economy and business tickets.
AerClub members also will be awarded tier credits and Avios points for flights operated by American and British Airways.
Aer Lingus and BA are part of International Airlines Group. American is part of a joint venture with BA, Aer Lingus, IAG carrier Iberia, Finnair and Level. To be eligible for the new benefits, AerClub members need to add their AerClub number when flying with American or BA, according to Aer Lingus.
