What happens when a chance encounter turns into a hilarious and heart-pounding tale of forbidden love? Tessa Bailey’s Dream Girl Drama explores the fiery passion between two souls destined to be together, but bound by family ties. Sig Gauthier, a professional hockey player, and Chloe Clifford, a sheltered harp prodigy, are drawn to each other from the moment they meet. Their connection is undeniable, but fate has a cruel twist ahead for them. When they discover that their parents are engaged, their budding romance is thrown into chaos.

Despite the obstacles, Sig and Chloe can’t deny their feelings for each other in this spicy hockey romance. As they navigate the complexities of their relationship, they must decide whether to risk it all for love. Bailey’s writing is witty, engaging, and full of steamy encounters. The characters are well developed and relatable, and their chemistry is off the charts. However, the novel does contain explicit sexual content that may not be suitable for all readers just to let you know.
One of the strengths of Dream Girl Drama is its exploration of family dynamics. The characters’ parents’ relationship is a complex one, filled with both love and dysfunction. The way in which Sig and Chloe navigate their own relationship in the shadow of their parents’ is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.
Another highlight of the book is the character development of Chloe. At the beginning of the novel, she is a sheltered and somewhat naive young woman. However, as she spends more time with Sig, she begins to break free from her mother’s control and discover her own identity.
Overall, Dream Girl Drama is a fun, sexy, and heartwarming read. It’s a perfect book for fans of romantic comedies, especially geared around sports like hockey, and forbidden love stories. This book will be released in February, 2025, but you can preorder it on Amazon.
