SMEs in 130 Nations make World Tourism Community their Voice – Worldtourism Wire

Today the World Tourism Network welcomed Åland Tours and Steivi Palmet as its first member in Finland. With this, Finland became the 130th country for WTN after North Macedonia joined in December.

Aland Tours president Steivi said: “I joined the World Tourism Network because it offers several benefits. Joining the network would provide me with the opportunity to connect with a global network of tourism industry professionals and organizations, including tour operators, travel agents, hotels, and destinations. This would offer valuable opportunities for me to build relationships and collaborate on initiatives with others in the industry.”

WTN Chat and Social Media Groups

Indeed World Tourism Networks’ sustainable tourism Linkedin Group has 7934 members. Other WTN Linkedin, Facebook, and WhatsApp groups are on the rise covering subjects from Sustainable Tourism for Moslems, World Tourism Network Africa, WTN Saudi Arabia, among others.

WTN Vice President Rudi Herrmann is in charge of the groups.

WTN Chapters operate in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Montenegro and are in the making in countries around the globe.

Interest groups include Climate Change, Medical, and Health Tourism, and Small Cultural Regions of the World – all concentrating on Small and Medium Size Businesses and the destinations supporting them.

WTN established partnerships with organizations and initiatives around the globe.

As of February 27, World Tourism Network announced a new membership structure. It includes a free membership for observers, an individual membership for $100 / year, a business membership for $300/ year and a public sector membership for $1000/year.

TIME 2023 Global Summit

The first global Summit for World Tourism Network will take place in Bali, Indonesia from September 29 to October 1. The Hon.
