Thiago Araujo has joined BCD Meetings & Events as global
sustainability director, as the meetings and events division of BCD continues to formalize its commitment to a sustainability mission. Araujo will lead the company’s global sustainability strategy, aligning operations and driving climate urgency initiatives, training programs and sustainable partnerships.
Araujo
brings more than 15 years of professional experience to the newly created role at BCD M&E, with previous
roles including sustainability manager at Volvo Group, project and account
director at GL Events and engagement specialist at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games,
where he led sustainability initiatives.
“I’m focused on embedding
sustainability into every level of the organization, ensuring we not only meet
compliance requirements but also lead with innovation and collective impact,” Araujo said. He will collaborate with BCD’s overarching sustainability
department and BCD’s consulting division Advito to champion sustainability
across the organization.
