Ask A CO: On overlaying blaze orange

Q: Is it illegal to cover your blaze orange vest/coat with a blanket or sleeping bag to stay warm?

Noel Jull, New Dundee

A: Wrapping yourself in a blanket or sleeping bag would cover up the required hunter orange garment, but you can cover up to the waist to keep warm. If you wrap the blanket around your shoulders/back, or get into the sleeping bag and pull it up to your neck, it will have to be hunter orange.
