Renault Arkana #5 in market off -8.2% – Greatest Promoting Vehicles Weblog


The Renault Arkana is up to #5 in Cyprus in February.

Thanks to our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, we can share with you today February data for Cyprus. The market is down a steep -8.2% year-on-year to 1,011 units, yet thanks to a strong January performance the year-to-date tally remains in positive at +3.4% to 2,286 sales. Kia (+24.2%) defies the negative market to hold the top spot with a very strong 14.7% share, also snapping the year-to-date lead in the process. Toyota (-21.2%) is in a rut at #2 whereas Skoda (+222.2%) and Renault (+189.7%) are euphoric below. Volkswagen (-36.9%) closes the Top 5 in paltry manner. Freak leader in January, BMW (+53.8%) falls to #6 this month but soars year-on-year as does Mini (+206.7%) at #9.

Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris (+100%) doubles its sales year-on-year to stay in first place with a dominating 7.8% share. It is followed by the Kia Stonic (+1175%!) and Picanto (-25.9%) evolving at opposite ends of the spectrum. Leader one year ago, the VW T-Roc (-65.5%) implodes to 4th place while the Renault Arkana is estimated to shoot up to #5. The Mini Countryman (+133.3%) is up 24 spots to #5, the Kia Rio (+83.3%) up 19 to #7 and the Jeep Wrangler up 17 to #8. The Renault Captur and Skoda Scala also climb into the Top 10.
