Fish Patties with Dill and Immediate Mashed Potato Flakes Makes An Simple Dinner

You may want to change up your usual Passover fare and want a bit of inspiration in keeping with the food restrictions that the Jewish faith sets forth. My recipe for fish patties is a delicious thought that you might want to try. Instead of any flour or grain, I use instant mashed potato flakes in the base along with finely chopped onion, dill, salt, and pepper to shape into fish patties before frying them in a little extra virgin olive oil.

Believe it or not, this recipe is also so simple to make. The most work you’ll encounter is peeling and chopping a small onion. The rest is just mixing the ingredients, shaping into your patties and frying.

My patties are great with your sides for a meal. Just the same, they also are awesome served on a bun for a hot sandwich. In fact, they are wonderful to reheat in the microwave. This is further to explain the reason why I love this recipe.

Dill and instant potato flakes give these patties an incredible and ideal consistency with a perfect texture in this recipe. Pereg Natural Foods sent me a box of Passover spices that included their dill ($6.60), but also shawarma, za’atar, cinnamon, spearmint, and basil.

Pereg Natural Foods Passover Spices

As someone that uses Pereg pure spice blends and herbs, I can tell you that there is more freshness to them than many others I tried. You can buy their spices separately or a Passover spice bundle medley with the shawarma, za’atar, cumin, sweet paprika, seafood, and grilled chicken for $36.50. In fact, you can save 15% off the price of a spice or bundle using code BEAUTYCOOKSKISS at checkout on their website.

Another recipe for tuna patties that I make is not suitable for Passover since it has flour, which is restricted in that faith. Nonetheless, it is an excellent recipe to check out for all or when eating flour again when allowed in the near future.

My recipe makes three patties. If you have a larger family or just want some extras to pop in the microwave for sandwiches, then double the recipe.
