Collagen peptides are something that I’ve been incorporating into my daily nutrition since pregnancy. Today we’re talking all things collagen peptides, plus sharing our go-to recipe that we always have in the studio freezer.

What is collagen?

Collagen is part of the makeup of animal bone, cartilage, and skin. Collagen peptides are broken-down pieces of whole collagen and have many benefits when ingested.

What You Need for Collagen Cookie Dough

Collagen Peptides: collagen is obviously the star of these cookie dough bites. We recommend using a vanilla-flavored collage, but really any kind will work. You can use unflavored or really any other flavor. Our favorite brand is Vital Protein.

Oats: we recommend using quick-cooking oats, but rolled oats work too.

Honey: we like to use honey because it’s an all-natural sweetener.

Mini Chocolate Chips: every cookie dough bite deserves chocolate chips!

Water: water is used to give you that true cookie dough texture!

How to Make Collagen Cookie Dough

  1. Assemble ingredients: add all of the ingredients minus the water into a medium bowl.
  2. Mix ingredients: use a spoon to mix until combined. Add water by the tablespoon to get the desired cookie dough consistency.
  3. Roll into balls: use a tablespoon scooper to scoop the cookie dough and roll into balls.

quick tip!

All peanut butters and collagen powders are different. So, start small with the water and add more to get the consistency you prefer.

Swaps

Collagen Powder –> Protein Powder: feel free to use any kind of protein powder in place of the collagen powder. We’re sharing our top picks below!
