NRAAM 2023 Preview Half 3

I like to think of myself as Alloutdoor’s backpacking dude as my main specialty, but a lot of the vendors at NRAAM 2023 have things that have piqued my interest. In this article, I’ll go over a brief description of a couple dozen companies that I have scheduled to meet up at NRAAM 2023, or just want to see what new wares they have on display. Do note, I like to look at the big names, but also dig into the less than common things at these trade shows!

If you’re going to be at NRAAM 2023, leave a message in the comments and I’ll give you an AllOutdoor sticker! If you’re staying home this year, tell me in the comments what I missed and what you want to see!

Krieger Barrels makes precision single point cut rifling barrels to match standard for various Bolt Action, Service Rifle, AR-15, AR-10, Ruger Precision, M1, M14, M1903, and others. I am interested to see the quality and weight of their 6.5mm Ruger Precision barrels for a future project!

Note: Krieger made the barrel for this beast:

Krieghoff has the history and prestige that few other US firearm companies do. The K-80 series is a Over-Under double barrel shotgun that caries from a hunting model to engraved and gold inlayed editions that become heirlooms to pass down from generation to generation. I’m excited to see how various models in this series vary in opulence and their likelihood of being used.

Krieghoff firearms are renowned for their quality, craftsmanship and durability. The company has a long and distinguished history of producing firearms for competitive shooters, hunters and sporting enthusiasts around the world. They also have a myriad of services including service, wood working, gunsmithing, engraving and training courses.

Langdon Tactical – Future Shotguns (A300 LTT Custom?!)

Langdon Tactical is cool in my eyes because they run some of the most well known firearms training courses in the world and are constantly innovating and pushing the envelope in the firearms industry. Alloutdoor and TFB fans are likely very familiar with their LTT 92 Elite and 1301. I’m wanting to see what plans they have for Beretta’s newest shotgun, the A300!

LIONGMAH KNIVES FOLDING KNIVES IMPORT KNIVES INEXPENSIVE KNIVES EDCK KNIVES
ORIGINAL IMAGES SOURCE: EUTEKTIK

I’ve never heard of Liong Mah Design and have no clue whether their Eutektik line of Sanvik 14c28n steel interlock . Open Frame knives with G10 scales are more than a gas station knife, or whether the 3.6 ounces are worth carrying with me. I’ll be interested to see what they are like.

Liong Mah say this about their Eutektik series:

Liong Mah Design is proud to introduce Eutektik, the latest line of EDC gear designed with time-tested materials. Whether you’re an outdoor adventurer or seeking tools for everyday use, Eutektik provides a range of options that offer uncompromising performance at an affordable price. Lionheart Industries – Vulcan 9 and Regulus Pistols

[SHOT 2023] LIONHEART Industries NEW Vulcan 9
[SHOT 2023] LIONHEART Industries NEW Vulcan 9

As Eugene wrote in his article named [SHOT 2023] LIONHEART Industries NEW Vulcan 9, Lionheart has two pistols coming out – the Vulcan, and the Regulus.

The Regulus is a compact double action 9mm pistol with 1911 sights and holds up to 18 rounds. 10rd mags available for weird states.

Lionheart’s Vulcan 9 pistol is an optics, high tech hammer fired double action with a Sig P365 dovetail and can use Trijicon RMRcc footprints.

It weighs 23 ounces, carries 15rds, with an upcoming 18rd magazine and MSRP’s for #1299.

These are uncommon pistols with things that make them unique enough to cover, and maybe own? We’ll see!

Live Free ARMORY AMPX 9mm LFA AMPX MODULAR FRAME GLOCK PISTOL GEN 3
ORIGINAL IMAGES SOURCE: LFA (Forgive my horrible photoshop skills to represent all the colors!)

Live Free Armory (now referred to as LFA in this article) is a modular frame pistol (Think Sig M17 / P320) but uses Glock Generation 3 parts. This means you can have a G26, 19, 17, and 34  (or a mix of any two!) all with the same serialized frame. This pistol also has replaceable grip panels, and comes in five different colors. At $699 MSRP it appears to have many little tweaks that a lot of Glock owners already do to their pistols. Weird enough to grab my attention, possibly serious enough to grab people’s wallets.

MARCOLMAR CETME L RIFLES SUPRLUS RIFLES MILSURP UPGRADED CETME PICATINNY
ORIGINAL IMAGES SOURCE: DANIEL Y – TFB

Marcolmar doesn’t just import beat to hell Spanish CETMEs and dump them on surplus nerds by the crateful. They are the surplus nerds and know while the CETME was a good rifle, they sure as hell need some improvements when it comes to operating them in the modern age.

Marcolmar has this to say:

MarColMar uses original Spanish surplus parts, a new made in the USA receiver, a cold-hammer-forged and nitrided barrel (1-in-7), brand new US made furniture, all finished with Cerakote, to produce a beautiful new firearm that is now optimized for US STANAG M-16/AR-15 magazines.

But MarColMar didn’t just copy the CETME L, they employed the newest materials and manufacturing processes (like robot welding) to produce a rifle even better than could be built in the 1980’s.  The CETME L is now even available with a welded picatinny rail, and in four different Cerakote finishes, original Spanish Green, Black, Grey and FDE.  Eventually CETME LVs and LCs will also be offered to owners of the CETME L.

PS – both Daniel and Rusty have made articles about this rifle, so I likely won’t spend much time on it unless there’s something really new about it. Read those articles here:

OBSIDIAN ARMS LIGHTWEIGHT AR PARTS BILLET UPPER RECEIVER BILLET LOWER RECEIVER
ORIGINAL IMAGES SOURCE: OBSIDIAN ARMS – Please ignore my poor photoshopping.

The topic really says it all, Obsidian Arms has lightweight billet upper and lower receivers and many other parts for our favorite American rifle.

They also have trigger packs that are pretty sweet. A lot of their stuff looks like it is meant for competition shooters.

LW SEECAMP FIREARMS POCKET PISTOL
ORIGINAL IMAGE SOURCE: SEECAMP

Ludwig Seecamp, of the company’s namesake had a very interesting perspective on pistols. After playing around with 1911’s for a a while and making some great advancements that would have blown Saint John Moses Browning’s mind on recoil operation, he decided to work on making his own compact pistol. What came out in 1981 was the LWS 25 – a 25ACP double action only pocket pistol that hasn’t changed much over the years other than caliber. The company was sold to Whalley Precision in 2013 and the legacy continues on.

If you didn’t notice, the pistol doesn’t have sights. This is something that LS Seecamp did to reduce snagging, but also several other reasons described in their FAQ.

As a purveyor of all things petite and pocketable, this has always been something I’ve wanted to look at.

Standard Manufacturing – All Products

STANDARD MANUFACTURING SWITCH GUN 22 POCKET REVOLVER

We’ve written about Standard Manufacturing’s .22 pistols before, but they may be more known for their S333 Thunderstruck double barrel revolver and newer SG-9. I’m interested to see how the Single Action Switch Gun would do for a thru-hiking pistol, or whether I’d chase off a predator by them laughing to death.

Hold on guys, this one DOES take Glock Mags.

Yeah, Stealth Arms has a 1911 double action hammer fired 1911 that uses Glock 17 mags while keeping the 1911 grip angle. They’re custom built and cost $1,500… But one of their Platypus pistols are Ceracoated in orange and teal with black controls, looking just like that one Disney Cartoon where Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz was involved.  You’ll have to check their site for photos.

Interested in some freeze dried meals? – https://www.trailspoon.com Still debating how small town life compares to metropolitan living.
Big cities do not have close green open land and roads that I have come to love for various activities. They do have more opportunities, events, modern culture, dining, and individuals whom seem more interesting. Even after a decade of acclimation, I still feel displaced.
