VW sales almost double year-on-year in March.
New light vehicle sales in Morocco sink another -11.9% year-on-year in March to 13,619 units, that includes 12,475 Passenger Cars (-10.3%) and 1,144 Light Commercials (-26.7%). The cumulative volume over Q1 is 36,816 vs. 41,408 a year ago, a -11.1% decline. In the PC brands ranking, Dacia (-21%) and Renault (-14.4%) both fall faster than the market but retain their grip on the charts with 24.5% and 15.1% share respectively. The next three manufacturers defy the negative market to post solid gains. Volkswagen (+94.1%) is by far the most dynamic and ranks #5, with Hyundai (+8.3%) at #3 and Peugeot (+7.5%) at #4 also strong. Audi (+25.4%) and BMW (+7.5%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, DFSK (+265%), Land Rover (+73.3%), DS (+55%), Porsche (+45.5%), Skoda (+30%) and Mercedes (+25.1%) are among the biggest gainers.
