Agiito, CEO Half Methods | Enterprise Journey Information

James Parkhouse, chief executive officer of travel management company Agiito, has left the business, it was revealed on Friday.

Parkhouse had been CEO of Agiito—and Capita Travel & Events in its previous guise—for more than 15 years. In a post on LinkedIn he said it had been a “privilege to build one of the most distinctive businesses in the corporate travel, meetings and events sector in the U.K.”

Agiito’s parent company, Capita, said during its full-year results reporting in March that it was intending to sell its remaining non-core businesses, which includes the travel management company, by the middle of the year. Capita confirmed Parkhouse’s departure.

Agiito was ranked the seventh-largest TMC in the U.K. in BTN Europe’s Leading TMCs 2023 rankings and has a large proportion of public sector business.

Parkhouse added: “Against tremendous challenges, particularly over the past few years, where surviving sometimes felt like a near impossible task, it was thanks to the sheer determination and passion of the team that Agiito continued to thrive.

“I am very proud that through a combination of targeted acquisitions of industry specialists including Lonsdale Travel, BSI, Expotel and NYS—alongside developing people, processes and technology from across the sector—we have created a unique, specialist, award-winning business.”

Capita revealed in March that the “successful execution of the non-core business disposal programme” has realized net cash proceeds of around £1.3 billion since January 2018.
