2023 Ford Ranger: Tickford accent package deal revealed

Long-running Ford specialist Tickford has revealed its first set of accessories for the strong-selling Ranger ute.

The Adventure Pack for the mid-range Ranger XLS and XLT brings a cat-back exhaust and carbon side-exit exhaust tips, 20-inch wheels and AT tyres, matte black fender flares, and upgraded brakes.

There’s an optional front bar upgrade, along with a 40-inch light bar and, crucially for many owners, a 2.0-inch lift kit.

Rounding out the upgrade package are an electric roller shutter, electric side steps, and a Tickford Build Plate to prove its provenance. The only thing you don’t get is more power.

Pricing hasn’t been published. We’ve reached out to Tickford to confirm details, and will update this story when it’s available.

The 4×4 XLS and XLT dual-cab utes are priced at $54,730 and $61,990 before on-road costs respectively.

Tickford is an offshoot of Tickford Racing, which runs four Mustangs in the Supercars race series.

The badge has previously been applied to a range of special Fords. Along with hotted-up Falcon sedans developed with Ford Australia, Tickford has put its name to a range of performance parts for Blue Oval cars in the past.

Tickford was bought by Prodrive in 2001, at which point it became Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV). Although FPV died with local manufacturing, the Tickford name was revived in 2015 for Ranger and Mustang parts.

It’s now getting into the game when it comes to the crowded market for current (Next-Gen, in Ford speak) Ranger owners.

The Ranger launched with a range of factory-backed accessories from ARB, and since then the pool of brands hoping to cash in on the car’s popularity has grown fast.

TJM and Maxliner have both revealed their ranges for the new Ranger and Everest.
