FCA Australia is recalling the Chrysler 300 as its fuel pump could fail.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the High-Pressure Fuel Pump could fail prematurely and introduce failed component debris into the fuel system,” the company says in its recall notice.
“This could impair the fuel supply to the engine and result in a loss of power whilst driving.
“A loss of power while driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders.”
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is also being recalled for the same issue.
Parts aren’t currently available, so the company will contact owners of affected vehicles to advise when they are.
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll then need to contact an authorised Jeep dealership to have the free repair carried out.
If you have any further questions, you can contact the company on 1800 075 397 or email [email protected]
