Featured Ingredients
Clementines: this recipe calls for frozen clementine slices. So, you’re going to want to make sure you peel and freeze your clementines before you use them! Feel free to use frozen oranges instead.
Aperol: this bittersweet aperitif is used in the slushies and on top!
Simple Syrup: always add simple syrup to taste depending on how sweet you want it.
Champagne: it wouldn’t be an Aperol spritz without the champagne. Feel free to use champagne, prosecco, or even a bubbly rosé.
Ice: ice is essential for that “slushy” consistency. You don’t want it to be too reminiscent of a smoothie.
Simple Instructions
- Freeze: peel and separate out the clementine wedges onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place into the freezer for at least 1 hour, preferably until frozen solid.
- Blend: once the clementines are frozen, transfer them into the blender along with the simple syrup, champagne, Aperol, and ice. Blend until smooth.
- Pour: transfer the slushy into glasses and garnish with a splash of Aperol and an orange wedge.
Tip: try our dried orange garland for a drink topper instead!
