Suzuki, Renault, MG shine, market hovering 69.5% – Greatest Promoting Automobiles Weblog


The Renault Clio is the best-selling vehicle in Croatia in May.

New car sales in Croatia skyrocket 69.5% year-on-year in May to 7,097 units, the largest monthly volume this year. Year-to-date tallies add up to 26,584, a 44.3% improvement over the same period a year ago. Renault (+288.5%) shoots up to confirm its newfound leadership both for the month and YTD. Volkswagen (+76%) overtakes Skoda (+175.2%) to #2 whereas Opel (+45.8%) and Dacia (+40%) can’t catchup with the market growth. Suzuki (+303.4%) and Audi (+94.5%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, notice MG (+1975%), Mercedes (+140.5%) and Ford (+136.6%) all posting fantastic gains.

The Renault Clio (+597%) returns to the top spot it hold year-to-date, surpassing the Skoda Octavia (+562.7%) also in surreal form. The Dacia Duster (+71.8%) is back up three spots on April to #3, a ranking it also holds YTD. The Renault Captur (+382.5%) and Suzuki Vitara (+640%) round out the Top 5. All remaining Top 10 members outpace the market bar the Opel Corsa (+24.1%): the VW Taigo is up 234.5%), the Suzuki S-Cross up 216.1%, the Opel Mokka up 191.5% and the VW T-Cross up 96.8%. The MG ZS is up to #13 and the Peugeot 2008 up to #19.
