Vauxhall Mokka tops 2 nations – Greatest Promoting Automobiles Weblog


The Vauxhall Mokka is #1 in Northern Ireland and Scotland in May.

Thanks to SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in May. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are already included in the May 2023 UK update. This month Wales (+20%) is the most dynamic UK nation with 5,510 sales, followed by Northern Ireland up 19.8% to 3,987, England at +17.4% to 122,438 and Scotland up 10.6% to 13,013. Year-to-date, this time Northern Ireland is in the lead at +17.8% to 20,737 followed by England up 17.6% to 656,786, Wales up 12.5% to 27,333 and Scotland up 11.2% to 65,981. 

Podium finishers are as follows. The Ford Puma is #1 in England and Wales, the Vauxhall Mokka #1 in Northern Ireland and Scotland and #2 in Wales, the Vauxhall Corsa #2 in England, the Peugeot 2008 #2 in Northern Ireland, the Ford Fiesta #2 in Scotland, the Nissan Qashqai #3 in England, the Hyundai Tucson #3 in Northern Ireland, the Audi A3 #3 in Scotland and #4 in England and the MG HS #3 in Wales. Other great performers include the Tesla Model Y up to #5 in England, Kia Picanto #5 in Wales, MG HS #7 in Scotland and the Volvo XC40 up to #6 in England and #8 in Scotland.
