U.K.-based booking technology provider Vibe has eyes on expansion in the U.S. with the appointment of Stephane Durand as a nonexecutive director, the company announced.
Durand joins Vibe after more than 23 years with Amadeus, most recently as managing director in France and previously as chief commercial officer for North America and SVP for online in the Americas. Prior to Amadeus, Durand was an executive for Europcar International, including the role of VP of sales and marketing for North America.
Vibe founder Phil Cook in a statement said the company would tap Durand’s international expertise “to help guide our bold strategy for expansion into the U.S. market and overall global growth of Vibe.” He will be working alongside Vibe CEO Steve Barrass and CCO Martin Eade, Cook said.
Vibe provides booking solutions to such clients as travel management companies, corporate travel bookers, airlines and other travel professions. Its offerings include the Vibe Corporate customizable tool for booking business travel, launched last year.
