Koteewi Run Snow Tubing Hill at Strawtown Koteewi Park

Hit the slopes this winter right here in Hamilton County, Indiana – just north of Indy. Koteewi Run Seasonal Slopes is a snow tubing hill at Strawtown Koteewi Park in Noblesville, Indiana. Experience this thrilling outdoor winter adventure for yourself. Here’s what you need to know before you hit the hill.

How It Works

Follow the signage to the Koteewi Run check-in building, which is the same as the Edge Adventures: Koteewi Park. Here, you’ll pay for your pass if you haven’t already done so online, sign waivers and get your ticket marked with your session end time, which you’ll attach to your coat zipper.

Follow the gravel path until you reach the bottom of the tubing hill to receive basic instruction. Hop in one of the tubes and a staff member will attach your tube to a tow line, which is a pulley system to pull you up the 40-foot hill. The ride takes one to two minutes. Enjoy the panorama views of Strawtown Koteewi Park along the way!

Once you reach the peak, a staff member will unhook your tube and you’ll get out and walk to the lane of your choosing. They can help push you down the hill, either flying solo or connected with friends. Hold on tight as you tube down the hill, traveling more than 700 feet in 20 seconds. That’s the length of more than two football fields! It’s quite the adrenaline rush. If you like roller coasters and water parks, you’ll think Koteewi Run is pretty “tubular.”

Hop out of your tube and walk a short distance to get to the bottom of the tow line, and your thrilling adventure begins again. Slide down the hill as many times as you want (or can) within your tube session length, which is usually two or three hours.

Tips

Dress for the weather and bundle up in snow gear. Wear gloves and a hat or earmuffs. The most important accessory is sturdy outdoor shoes, like snow boots, with warm socks. You don’t want cold feet – literally – to be the reason you stop tubing early.

There is not a place to store your belongings, so pack light and leave your belongings in the car, if possible. You can bring your phone to take pictures and video as you slide down the hill.

Hot cocoa and other concessions are available inside the check-in building, as well as restrooms.

Important Information

Tickets may be purchased on-site or in advance online. Visit the Koteewi Run website for ticket prices and packages.

Koteewi Run will be open through February and possibly into March, if conditions allow.

You must use the tube provided and cannot bring your own.

One person per tube. This applies to kids, as well. There is not a minimum age requirement, but children should be able to handle the tube, ride the lift and slide down the hill by themselves.
