In case you missed it, Southwest Airlines is celebrating its birthday with sales to many warm-weather destinations.
Now, many other carriers — including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines — are matching Southwest by offering deals of their own to multiple destinations across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
These deals are convenient for U.S. residents living near pretty much any major city. Flights depart from several hubs, including Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Seattle and Washington, D.C.
Southwest’s sale ends June 15, so these deals from other airlines will probably end soon as well. Book as soon as you can to snag cheap flights.

Sample flights
As the weather cools down in Boston this fall, you can jet off to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for just $331 round-trip. Note that this option has a layover each way. If you want a nonstop flight, there are fewer options, and they’ll all cost more money.
If you book Delta’s basic economy class, you can bring one carry-on bag but won’t be able to select your seat or change your ticket for free. You can upgrade to Main Cabin for an extra $90.
This rate is more than half off the normal price, according to Google Flights.
If you’d rather skip the Dominican Republic, consider spending Thanksgiving on the white-sand beaches of Turks and Caicos. There are currently nonstop flights from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) available for almost $200 less than usual, according to Google Flights.
However, this rate only applies to JetBlue’s Blue Basic fares. You’ll have to budget an additional $60 ($30 each way) to check a bag or spend $100 to upgrade to the Blue fare, which includes a free carry-on bag. Even with the extra fees, you’ll still be saving money with this deal.

Bottom line
Act fast if you want to travel from the U.S. to the Caribbean, Central America or Mexico sometime between July 2023 and April 2024. Some of these routes have not been on sale in years, so this is an ideal time to book. These deals won’t last long.
